Any user belong from software team can approve the approval. as well as if approval is assign to to particular user then also that user can approve the approval. Using ui action can edit existing approval action button

Hi @Sam99999 

OOTB, if a user has approval rights, they can approve the records assigned to them or their team. You’ll need to add a validation for this.
