UI Builder - portal app shell and locked Theme

Hello Community!

Apparently I've run into a dark place, where only you can shed some light on the issue I have.

I'm building a one-pager in a Portal App Shell. It's going relatively good, however the overall look is much different than on the platform (not to say - simply quite ugly).

My first thought - ok, lets play around with the Theme, I've went through a couple of articles showing how easily we can switch it or even customize, however when I've navigated to the Experience Settings - Theme field is locked with quite a cryptic message "Themes apply branding to an experience to give it a consistent look and feel across all pages. The parent application, UXR Base Unified App, sets the theme for this experience."

In general we rarely use the UI Builder and I don't suppose anyone made any major change in the setup. Do you have any idea what should I do further in order to "unlock" the theming option? Maybe you've faced the same issue before and can save me from a headache?

Hi, did you find an answer? I'm having the same problem. I've noticed that experiences created via App Engine Studio have the Portal UI Template as the parent app, while experiences created from scrath via UI Builder have the UXR Base Unified App as parent app. Both the Portal UI Template and the UXR Base Unified App reside in the sys_ux_app table. However, while I could edit the Portal UI Template record to change its base theme, I couldn't do the same with the UXR Base Unified App.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on?
