UI16 / Classic UI - Inline List Edit does not work for columns after horizontal scrolling

Hello everyone,

I would like to check whether anyone has encountered this behavior in a standard ServiceNow instance

1. Environment:

  • Classic UI (UI16) - (Polaris disabled)
  • List editing enabled
  • No customizations on the list view
  • Reproducible on OOTB Incident list
2. Issue Description:
Inline list editing works correctly when the target column is visible in the initial viewport.

However, if the target column is outside the visible area and I need to scroll horizontally to the right, the field can no longer be edited by double-clicking the cell.

If I move the same column closer to the left side of the list (without horizontal scrolling), inline editing works normally.

3. Questions:
Is this an OOTB bug in UI16 / Classic UI? Is there any SNOW document that mention about this issue?
Is there any way to fix this issue?

Please someone help me
Thankyou so much

@Dinh Nguyen

Seems this is OOTB behavior & the images are not clear.

@Dinh Nguyen

that's OOTB behavior if the field is in initial viewport then only it can be edited

if not then you need to scroll to edit it on right side

This I believe can't be fixed as the initial viewport might show the right side field in initial list load based on the screen from where this is accessed (desktop, laptop) etc based on screen resolution
