Unable to create template for Standard Change

Hi,

In Servicenow, we have the ability to create templates for Standard Changes and I have a requirement to create one.

I have navigated to Standard Change --> All templates and below is the view I get:

Screenshot (717).png

Here, it gives me the list of all templates but does not allow me to create one.

I have typed in "std_change_record_producer.do" in the Left navigation search and I got the below view:

Screenshot (718).png

In this view, I see it opened a new record but, all the fields in this view are read-only which restricts me from creating it.

Do I lack any roles? In that case, please let me know what I have to do?

Thanks in advance.

I made a video recording of how to create a standard change proposal , template and how to it appears in the standard change catalog once the template is activated.

Hi Prudhvi,

It would not show up there. You need to check for Standard Change >> My Proposals get once created approved & then it would be available as one of template.

Link Create a standard change proposal should help.

Hi Jaspal,

Thanks for the reply.

I have done as you said. But, I get an error while clicking "Request Approval".

What do I need to do now? I have added an approver in the related list and approved it on his behalf. But, it does not accept. Please let me know how I shoud proceed further.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Prudhvi,

Make sure the Group Change Management has some or other members associated to it.

Jaspal,

I have changed the Assignment Group and the new group has members in it. But still, I get the same issue.
