Unable to edit form via form design

I need urgent help; I am unable to edit the interaction[interaction] form via form design in service operation view. I have verified my scope to be interaction management. I am looking to modify and add a few additional fields.

Again, my application scope is interaction management - service operation workspace.

I have added myself to that role and still the form is grayed out. Funny thing is I see the gear icon but when I click and entered the form, everything is grayed out

did you try to use configure form layout?

Yes but form layout will not work for intended purpose, I did like to modify some of the field and also make mandatory and read only for some and using form layout only allows me to add fields to the form

Hi,

You can try opening the form right click on the field name for which you want to change 

Click on configure dictionary from there you can do changes

Go to form and right click on field name and configure dictionary of that field 

You can give specifications for that field from there
