Unable to edit location field in user record

Hi,

I would like to have some assistance in correcting user table data. The Location field in the user record is not updated correctly and when I tried to correct it, I could not find any information from location table.

The Location field in the user record is a reference field but when I click on the search glass of "Location" field it shows nothing as if no mapping is done between user and location tables.

Is there a way to link location table to the location field in the user record? Also how to check whether the location table is correctly linked to the location field of the user table?

Thanks,

Dibeena

Hi Dibeena,

Unfortunately there are several things I would like to check that I cannot see and it sounds like you are unfamiliar with how the system was set up.

Ex: How the import is done, what does the transform look like, what fields are involved in the field mapping, etc.

This might be a case where the customer support team is more effective than the community as they can login to your system and take a look around whereas you and I could blindly go back and forth with questions and answers for quite some time.

Hi Chuck,

I had a check with the Servicenow support guys. They also could not figure out the exact issue.

This is not happening with all user records, but yes "Location field is giving blank records for all users records.

ServiceNow support team was mentioning about the Transform maps which get automatically created when Azure AD integration is done\, they are doubtful about whether that script has to be edited. I am not sure on whether anything has to be done there.

Do you think whether we should edit the transform script for Azure?

Thanks for all the help.

HI Dibeena,

I don't have enough information to advise you on whether or not the transform script needs to be edited. This would take some additional work which the community is not well suited for. If support does not have any specific recommendations, and you don't have internal talent in your organization to address this, you might want to reach out for some professional services from ServiceNow or one of our terrific partners.

Hi,

Thanks for all your help.

I had a check with ServiceNow support and we created a Business rule to get correct location updated to each user.
