Hello,

I work with ServiceNow and use the ticketing system and want to learn more. So, I am taking the ServiceNow Certified Administration for Beginners with Instructor Syed Raza. Trying to follow along with what is being instructed. Mr. Syed is instructing on how to Create the Madrid ServiceNow Instance and it is not recognizing the URL "https://dev68004.service-now.com/ ". Is this site still active or do I need to build it or request access?

Consider those steps

If you’re following a course or want to practice using ServiceNow, you can get your own personal instance for free. Here’s how:

Step-by-Step: Requesting a Developer Instance

Go to the ServiceNow Developer Site
Visit: https://developer.servicenow.com
Sign In or Create an Account

If you already have an account, just log in.
If you don’t, click “Register” and follow the steps to create one (it’s free)

Access the Instance Manager

After logging in, click your profile icon at the top right corner.
Then go to “Manage > Instance” from the dropdown menu.

Request a New Instance

Click on “Request Instance”.
Choose the latest version available (e.g., “Washington”, “Utah”, etc.).
Click “Request” and wait a few moments while the instance is being created.

Access Your Instance

Once ready, you’ll see your new instance URL, like https://dev12345.service-now.com.
Click it to open your instance.
Your admin credentials will be provided on the same screen.

Log In to Your Instance

Use the username and password shown (usually admin and a temporary password).
Change your password upon first login if required.

Hi @MillardG

If the course is based on the Madrid release of ServiceNow, be aware that it's very old and very outdated. There are plenty of good, free courses based on much newer versions of the platform that you can take instead.
