Unable to make additional comments mandatory when incident is cancelled.

However info message "hello" is showing.

The potential reason is you need to update the UI action as well. I had similar post earlier as well, and same point was suggested. 

 

Also check OOTB

Hi Sachin, 

It could be a PDI glitch/issue as the UI policy should be applicable before you save the record. Sometimes there are these minor issues occurring with PDI. Try it a few days later and it should be fine.

I have the same issue, i tried Ui policy and client script and not working, when you just pass on resolved state for example without submiting and then you make cancel it works, but not when directly cancel, if you found out any solution pleaze let me know, otherwise business rule might also work
