Update sc_categories in Service Portal

Hi, 

My requirement is, In sc_categories page I want to show only only 2 categories (like software, office) and hide remaining all categories. How can I achieve that?

In filter navigator, type sc_category.LIST and it will open the list of categories, open each category and deactivate it.

I want the categories to be visible in service catalog in platform side. I want to hide them only in service portal. How to achieve this?

Open the list of categories , open each category whichever you don't need inactivate it
