Updating info on Content Items

Hi Everyone, 

I wish to update Short Description & Description field of a Content Item but the fields are not visible in FORM view and uneditable in LIST view. How can I edit and update the information, please guide?

There are lots of UI policies on the content items, hiding these fields. Depending on the conditions of the Content Item you want to change, find the UI policy and inactivate it, because they are by default on the form, just hidden through policies.

Hi Mark, I have found a UI policy for content items. But my question is will adding the field on the form make it editable?

If you would have inactivated the UI policy instead of coming back here. you would have already known. As long as there are no other policies in place doing anything with these fields, they will be editable. 

The real question is why you need to update fields that aren't on the form for these specific items. How are the filled at all? They aren't used OOB on these types.
