Upgrade Washington vs Xanadu

Hello,

We will be upgrading our ServiceNow instances in approximately three months. It is better for us to go with Washington or Xanadu? And what would be the benefit of one over the other?

Thanks,

Kathy

@kathymorris Here are the pros and cons of choosing one over another.

Washington:

Pros: You will be upgrading to one of the stable patches of Washington after 3 months. A lot of bug fixes will be available in the latest patches. Availability of support articles/knowledge articles for known issues/problems and workaround would be in abundance for Washington.

Cons: You will be missing out on the latest features which are going to be available with the Xanadu release.

Xanadu:

Pros: You will have a first hand experience of the latest features.

Cons: Initial patches might carry some bugs, availability of support articles related to known issues would be limited.

Hi Kathy,  You would be best served by reviewing and comparing the release notes:
Washington: https://www.servicenow.com/docs/bundle/washingtondc-release-notes/page/release-notes/family-release-...
Xanadu: https://www.servicenow.com/docs/bundle/xanadu-release-notes/page/release-notes/family-release-notes....

The differences should be evident to you once you compare those
