Use of Timeout in ATF

Hello,

What is the exact use of the timeout option in ATF step, can you give me a practical example.

For example, I have one test step in that the time out 100 sec, but my result is come less than the 100 sec like 50 sec will it go for the

Next step or will it wait for the 100 sec. Please clarify.

No mate, if no result come in 100 sec then time out but if result come before 100 sec, it will move to next time.
