Hello @RohitGeorgV

Please ensure you have the required role as well as you haven't impersonated any other user who do not have role to do so.

If user already exists, then navigate to All > System Security > Users and Groups > Groups - Open the group and scroll down to "Group Members" related list/tab and click Edit (if you do not see edit and/or new then you do not have sufficient roles to do so) and search the user to add and hit save.

Hope that helps!

Hi @RohitGeorgV

The "User is not authorized to perform this action" error when assigning groups in ServiceNow typically occurs because the group you are adding a user to contains a high-level role (like security_admin) that you do not currently possess or have not elevated to.

Elevated to security_admin->then try to add ->It will work.
