using Tableau with ServiceNow

I am working with a developer who has been able to connect Tableau to SN and pull in data from the task table, however, he can't dotwalk. For example when looking at an incident, the assigned group is just the unique ID and not the name.
So I am looking for some documentation that I can point him to,on how to do this. That would be great.

If we raise a request in servicenow for tableau access to the particular user.
Can it automatically give access to that user in tableau application using Integration

Hi Howard,
It is also possible to mirror your ServiceNow data and then build a Tableau dashboard on the mirrored database (can be any kind of RDBMS). You can even do drill-downs from Tableau to ServiceNow like here: https://sta-technologies.com/advanced-itsm-analytics-for-servicenow-using-tableau/
