UX Suggestion – Improve Session Timeout & Error Handling on Documentation Site

Hi ServiceNow Team,

I wanted to share a small observation from my recent visits to the ServiceNow documentation site. On two occasions, I was logged out due to session timeout, and instead of being redirected to the login page, I saw messages like:

  • “Request failed with status code 401”
  • “Your session expired”

While I understand these are standard responses, I feel that a smoother redirect to the login page, without showing raw error notifications would enhance the user experience and maintain the polished feel of the platform.

This isn’t a complaint, just a friendly suggestion to help improve the site for all users. I’ve attached screenshots for reference in case they’re helpful.
