Value --none-- in a list field

Is there a way to get rid of --none-- from a list field? It seems that despite I have chosen "Dropdown without --none-- (must specify a default value)" option...

  1. The --None-- value is still in the list
  2. The value --None-- can be chosen (not at first, but if we already have chosen some other value)
  3. When chosen, it may persist in the list even alone (if we delete the other values)
  4.  It is stored (at least in the xml) as "--None--"

I have tried scripting (client script) but so far unsuccessfully. I have this issue in Madrid, but it seems to be the same in NY too.

check the dictionary on the field. The none is configurable.

Hi,

If the field is dependent on another field, the --None-- option remains available.
