Hi Team,

 

The view count is set back to zero after a knowledge base article is edited. Is there any way to stop the view count to set back to Zero after edits.

 

I got a situation that after editing of a pre existing knowledge article it view count become zero. For example if the view count was 65 before and after checkout and editing  and again re-publishing it the view count become 0 inspite of 66 since the knowledge article is same it is just edited.

What is the need for this requirement?

If it's for reporting purposes, you can use the Knowledge use [kb_use] table to count the total number of views of a Knowledge Article across all versions.

Hi @James Chun I got an incident from the user not sure weather the user can use the kb_use table or for what purpose the user want to use.

You need to elaborate on what you meant by 'this does not work'.

Did you check with the client on why this is needed as well?

The solution you provided in that table actual view count is not showing.

Actually the caller is still OOO
