We need to validate the user data in ServiceNow instance so which tool or approach needs to be taken

Hello Experts,

We got a requirement in which we want to validate the user's data such that whether the existing users are correctly mapped with the correct Groups, Roles, Departments, Locations in a ServiceNow instance.

Currently, we are doing research and analysis (POC) for this requirement to check its feasibility, please let me know if anyone gone through such type of scenario. I will appreciate if anyone suggest any approach which will help me to proceed the feasibility check work.

You can use the Data Certification module, where you can create tasks for managers to validate and approve or reject if the data is not correctly mapped. Since this process requires human intervention, it should be handled this way to ensure accuracy and proper validation.

Yes, starting with the Xanadu release, Data Certification plugin (com.snc.certification_v2) is being prepared for future deprecation. It will be hidden and no longer activated on new instances. 

Now, I need to find some other approach to validate the data.

Oops... @UlkaApare  True need to find other way.

Can you check if the CMDB data manager can be helpful for you? My gut feeling says No, but try to explore.

this has to be validated by your business team.

Most of this information comes from LDAP (user, group, department, location etc)

Yes, you are correct, the user information comes from LDAP to ServiceNow, and it needs to be validated by business team. But if we want to validate the user data against the roles, groups, department, location etc. then how we can do it.

Atul has suggested one approach Data Certification module; I will check it. 

Do you have any idea, Is there any tool or approach is available?
