What are the various types of instances available in Servicenow? Whats the difference between them?

I want to understand the difference between various types of instances like Demo, Dart, HI, prod/subprod, HI instance.

Generally the HI instance that we request, is that a demo instance?

Just to have more info on this -

1) Demo -A demo instance showcasing ServiceNow features and functionalities with some sample data and can be used for trial purposes.

 

2)Dart (Development, Acceptance, Regression and Testing) -you will get more information internally in ServiceNow organization. these are for internal use -development testing by ServiceNow which contains some simulated data/tests.

 

3) HI (HI instance) -its for high availability to ensure continuous service uptime during failure. it mirrors prod data for disaster recovery.

 

4)Prod instance- used by end users to manage operations and business processes.

 

5) sub-Prod- Replica of prod used for training, development testing purposes.

1. Instance provided by SN to customer - Dev / NON Prod / PROD

2. Instance run by SN - Hi / Now Support / Demo 

3. Instance provided for personal: PDI 

 

All all different in nature and has different purpose.
