What is the best way to include approval on the Order Guide?

I have a requirement to create an Order Guide and not have any of the RITM items kick off until approval is granted.

I've seen many articles on workarounds and such, but what is the best way to accomplish this?

Better to have at REQ, try Workflow, I see in PDI for Order guide 'New Hire' it is attaching OOB workflow Service catalog request and not starting RITM until Approval record on REQ gets completed. Please find relevant screenshots below. Mark my answer as correct or hit like based on impact.

Hello Musab,

This is still not working.  I've tried to approach it the way you've indicated but the Approval items were grayed out on the workflow of the Service Catalog Request, so I changed the Approval Engine for the Request to "turn engines off".  I cannot turn it back on now.

I think I may have made things worse...
