What is the difference between production and non-production Instances

I need the information about the backup schedule for both production and non-production instances.Is there any guarantee for data in Non-production   Instance.Please help?

When production instance backup will happen and when all non production instances backup will happen


All instances do get backup incrementally, it all depends upon how much data is present.
