Hi Sree,
If I have a scenario where my Workflow requires Approval from Approver-User activity & also Approver-Group activity & then to proceed then Approval-coordinationtor is the best option. In short, Approval coordinator activity acts as a parent while activity Approver-User, Approver-Group or Manual-Approver will act as Child activities.
Link explains it in best way.
Thanks,
Jaspal Singh

Hi
As the name says, the Approval Coordinator acts like a container of different "sub-Approvals", which can be User & Group Approvals.
The results of each of them (in the Coordinator container) will be evaluated as a whole, and then decided, if the result is after all approved or rejected.
So, the Approval Coordinator only makes sense, when you want to have different SUB-Approvals combined in a container.
Does that makes sense to you?
Just let me know and mark my answer as correct or helpful.
