What is the maximum limit of 'max activity counter' in Workflow properties?

The default value of 'max activity counter' in Workflow properties is 100. But there are situations of looping few activities with 1day timer for duration of say 1year causing thee activity counter to reach even 2500+.
So, is it advisable to increase 'max activity counter' to that amount? What impacts can this large counter have on the workflow?

Refer below answer given by Chuck Tomasi:
While creating a new workflow you will get that field i.e. '' which you can change according to your requirement.
If you want to change for existing workflow, Go to workflow editor > Checkout your workflow > Go to Properties > There you can change the count.
