What's the difference between MultiSSOv2_SAML2_internal and MultiSSOv2_SAML2_custom?

I saw that there are 2 similar OOB single sign-on scripts below. However, I am having difficulties understanding the MultiSSOv2_SAML2_internal script.

I would like to know when to use MultiSSOv2_SAML2_internal over the MultiSSOv2_SAML2_custom?
