Hello,

I want to know more about domain visibility.

When a user of parent domain has visibility on child domain, what records  of child domain are they supposed to have access to?  Should they also be able to view the user records of child domain's users?

and When a user has of domain A has visibility on domain B, what does that generally mean?

Regards,

Reeba

When a user of domain A has visibility of domain B : This means, whatever records that are in domain A or domain B, that user will be having visibility of that.

Hello mrigankg,

Thanks for your quick reply. Would the user of domain A have access to the user records of domain B, which were created in domain B? ie. if they click on the reference icon of fields such as 'requested by' which contains the user of domain B, should the user of domain A be able to view the user record of domain B's user?

Hello Reeba,

Members of a domain only see the data contained within their domain or the child domains that are lower in the domain hierarchy.

To answer your query, users in a parent domain can see and manage records in child domains.

Reverse is false. i.e. users in a child domain cannot see or manage records in a parent domain.

Hello Hussain,

Thankyou for sharing this information.  Would the users in parent domain be able to  see the user records also of the child domains, if they have visibility on their child domains?

For example: if they click on the reference icon of fields such as 'requested by' which contains the user of child domain, should the user of parent domain be able to view the user record of child domain's user?
