Which of the following are true for reports in ServiceNow?
 
1. Any user can see any report shared with them.
 
2. Can be a graphical representation of data.
 
3. All users can generate reports on any table.
 
4. Can be run on demand by authorized users.
 
Please let me know the answer.

Hi @Chitra

Can be a graphical representation of data.

Can be run on demand by authorized users.

 

This 2 statments are correct. A is not correct because The people with whom you share the report must have rights to view the report data. 

3rd one is also wrong because Reporting functionality is available by default for all tables, except for system tables. But if user are restricted by Access Control, they are not able to create reports

Yes, 2 & 4 are correct. But i doubt 1st also. because in a Report we have share settings which has below option

*Me

*Everyone

*Groups and Users

Which means to whom we are sharing this report they must have access to the report right?

The user must have a proper access role in order to get the report access, Only the report sharing will not work.

The question is - what is really meant with "see" in the first answer of the CAD question?
As I'm prep myself for the CAD exam I just stumbled across this too and I tried in in my Tokyo PDI. I created a custom table with its own role, created a report on this table and shared it to a User without the role.
And this User can "see" this report in the report list, but when opening it get an error message telling the security constraints prevent from accessing it
