catalog task, approval are generated from workflow, flow attached to catalog item if you don't want to trigger sc_task then remove flow or workflow from catalog item and create a new and add it to catalog item.

Hi @PrashR ,
You can open that catalog item definition page, check the Process Engine tab there is option for Flow,Workflow and Execution Plan, which one configured for that catalog item.
You need to review Flow or Workflow details for this catalog item, however the end objective of request is to create a catalog task for fulfillment team.
