Hi Shreya

Please find answers below

1. FilePAth - In SNOW itself do I have to store or somewhere else? and what is kiteworks?

The file will be residing somewhere in some system or in server in your organisation. You will be require to put the path from there.Lets say you have a file xyz.csv stored folder ABC then the path will be ABC\xyz.csv

Please ignore the word kiteworks, Recently I wrote an article regarding the kiteworks SFTP   servicenow integration and all the above notes get copied from there. If you are interested to know about servicenow kiteworks integration then you can check link below.

2. If   Mid server is not used then do I need to provide a server name?

Whether you are using midserver or not you will be require to put the server name . Also make sure that servicenow is able to communicate to your server or not. There should be some firewall rule setup. You will be require you Network team help to check this.

3. without using mid server will I be able to get a file from outside of customer's network?

Check answer 2. If firewall allows then you will be able to get the files.

Hi @HarshTimes @Sjoshi2  ,

I am not able to open the link if you can help me any alternative for this actually we do have same type of integration .

Thanks,

Nishant

Hello Nishant, if the destination server is accessible via the internet (meaning ServiceNow can connect to it directly), there would be no requirement for a MIDServer. Such cases are uncommon, as it's not typical for servers to be exposed to the internet.

This is a very old link, and that site is down now. I couldn't find the backup of that article.

Harsh
