After integrating DPR with ADO, only Epics are reflecting in Release Planning but not all workitems

We have integrated ServiceNow Digital Product Release with ADO .I see only epic from ado is getting added to Release Planning of a product but not user stories, bugs and features. I see these user stories, bugs and features are just getting added to the plan of the product but not in the release planning which is confusing as i can't even see option to link those to a release.

how is it supposed to work? how can we track our release without work items getting attached to it? please answer.

Hi @RC19 ,
Yes, only Epics are visible on the Release Planning page. Navigate to the respective release or create a release from the corresponding version, and open the Release Execution page. On this page, you will be able to view all the associated Epics, Stories, and Bugs.
Note: All the stories/bugs..etc should be associated to the respective valid fix version in ADO

hi @SuryakiranM4342 Release Execution page actually contains release phases, tasks & policies. I am assuming you meant to say Release scope page of a release. In this release scope page also i can see only epic added and once i open that epic, i see feature under it in workitems related list and once i open that feature then i see story in it's workitems related list. is this how it is supposed to work ?

Hi @RC19 ,

Yes, I meant the “Release Scope” page only. Apologies for mentioning the wrong page earlier.

If all the work items (stories, bugs, etc.) are associated with the respective fix version, they will be displayed in a hierarchical view. Please check that the correct fix version is associated with each work item.

For More details follow this Video recording : In this example it is for Agile but for ADO also its same instead of scrum release we have Fixversion in ADO.

4) Integrate DPR with Agile 2.0 and auto import epics and stories

hi @SuryakiranM4342 I am creating epic, user story, feature etc all of them with same data in ADO except for type (not tagging them to any respective fix version even epics). But only epics are getting created as product enhancements in ServiceNow hence only they are visible under product/release. All other types like user story, feature, bug etc are populated as work items under this epic after I link them in ado, product enhancement records are not getting created for these, so they are not directly visible under release scope.

FYI, I couldnot relate to the video as they were using scrum release table in it which doesnt have any data in my instance.
