Daily Release Option

Hi,

Are there any future plans to add Daily Releases as an option to the Create a Release Target page. We have a need to have the option to schedule daily releases at 2 different times. If one of the target times is already selected for that day, no one else would be able to select it.

 

Trying to figure out what our options might be.

I don't think there is something already available to schedule daily releases at 2 different times unfortunately.

Hi @dan167 

I am using DPR and exploring it. From what I see so far in the out-of-the-box (OOTB) setup, there doesn’t seem to be a way to create two different templates with separate target dates and associate them with two different releases. I'm not sure—do you want to deploy the same release at two different times?

Yes it would be more of a deployment schedule with a timeslot open at 2 different times throughout the day for different teams to choose when/if they want to deploy minor fixes. If a team signs up to deploy something in timeslot A, then that timeslot is no longer available for another team to select.

 

Right now I am just trying to figure out how to get the daily release targets added with the correct times.

This is not something available out of the box (OOTB), so you’ll either need to create two separate release templates or use ACLs or Business Rules to restrict access for each team accordingly.
