Facing Issues while trying to integrate DPR with GitHub

Hi All,

 

I am trying to integrate ServiceNow DPR with GitHub as per documentation Onboard GitHub using Workspace • Zurich IT Service Management • Docs | ServiceNow . In the Tool Setup page i am getting below error as below.

Alert level: Critical.

Tool cannot be created because the tool URL is invalid. Enter a valid URL,and try again.
See the troubleshooting tool on-boarding errors.
 
Troubleshooting steps says to reenter the url and even after i reenter there is no use and that url which i am entering does exists and i have permissions to it. please suggest on what exactly is this error and how to troubleshoot.

As Per Servicenow Documentation - "You must connect to your GitHub tool instance using MID Server to use this credential." . So In your screen shot, check Mid server checkbox.

hi @Tanushree Maiti I did try with midserver as well but no luck. My main issue is with tool URL field which is getting autopopulated and there is no option to edit it .FYI, I have selected GitHub Enterprise option in code category while starting the connection and this tool URL got auto populated and there is no option to edit it .

and when i try to resume tool setup, I am getting error that url is not valid

@RC19 ,

Please check you the Github account is enterprise account or not? if it is NOT enterprise account please select the Normal Github account instead of github enterprise in the connect tool model.

If you still faces the issue please create a case task will look into it.

Note: Please use the respective user while creating tool(DevOps admin or Dpr release admin user)
