Notifications in Now Mobile
Now Mobile supports a rich set of notification types that help employees stay informed and take action quickly, even when they’re away from their desks. These notifications are configured separately for the Now Mobile.

I. Out of the box Push Notifications
These are standard notifications sent directly to the user's mobile device to keep them updated and allow them to take quick action.
Key Features:
i. Keep employees updated with real-time alerts be it updates for their tickets, reminders, new content posted by your organization and more.
ii. They can be triggered from Virtual Agent (VA) chat as well for quick actions.
iii. Get access to OOTB by adding “in-app notifications” on the footer navigation in Now Mobile.
iv. Supports both ServiceNow’s Now Mobile and Agent app.
How to configure?
Configuring push notifications requires 4 steps
1. Create push message content (JSON Layout)
2. Create push notification event (what, when, how)
3. Create push notification message (message)
4. Register push notification (specify client)

II. Actionable Notifications
Enable user to take quick actions from device’s notification screen, without even opening the Now Mobile app.
Key Features:
i. Take actions on requests from the mobile notifications itself.
ii. Actions can also contain a follow-up text response, e.g. "Reject Reason”
iii. Actionable push notifications support up-to 3 actions at a time from the following:
a. Action Item
b. Navigation
c. URL
iv. Chat Launcher
v. Supports both ServiceNow’s Now Mobile and Agent app.
How to configure?
Configuring actionable push notifications requires 5 steps
i. Create mobile push notification (UI of push action)
a. Select push action category
b. Select/create and map functions for each push action
ii. Create push message content (JSON Layout)
iii. Create push notification event (what, when, how)
iv. Create push notification message (message)
v. Register push notification (specify client)

The mobile-first experience ensures that users can approve, reject, or follow up on tasks directly from their devices, without needing to log into a desktop portal.
Out-of-the-Box Approvals
In-App Approvals: Users can view and act on approval requests from the “My Items” section or via push notifications.
Virtual Agent Integration: Approvers receive actionable notifications through Virtual Agent, allowing them to respond instantly to requests without navigating through the app.
Contextual Details: Approvers can access additional information such as attachments, comments, and request metadata to make informed decisions

Now Mobile app has pre-built integrations with Workday and SAP Concur
Workday Approvals
Now Mobile app has pre-built integration of Approvals Hub with Workday that allows organizations to consolidate approval requests from Workday.
Supported Approval Types: Time off, leave of absence, termination, and corrections can be approved directly in the app.
Advanced Tasks: For complex approvals like job requisitions or compensation changes, users are redirected to the Workday portal.
Configuration Options: Admins can enable approve/reject buttons for all approval types, making the experience fully mobile-enabled

SAP Concur Approvals
Now Mobile app has pre-built integration with Concur that allows employees to review the full expense report and approve/send it back directly from ServiceNow, without having to log into Concur. They can approve or send back, after checking the expense line item and itemization, directly through their channel of choice and send remarks in case they are sending it back to requester.
Unified Inbox: Approvers can view Concur requests within the “My Tasks” section of Employee Center Pro.
Detailed Views: Includes itemisations, receipts, and comments to support informed decision-making.
Quick Actions: Approve or reject directly from the mobile interface, with support for sending back requests for clarification.
