Clear recent view in Service Portal

I recently enabled AI Search in the Service Portal. While testing I disabled a catalog item. However it was still showing in recent view for a user. When they clicked on it of course they get "You are either not authorized or record is not valid." So I was wondering if there is a way to clear recent views for everybody when a catalog item is made inactive? Or if there is a way to prevent them from showing in recent views.

Hello!

Facing the same issue. Have you found the solution to this one?

Thank you!

No have not found anything for this.

I have found a solution for my scenario and it works.

For me it's the "Recently Viewed" in the typeahead widget. We disabled a catalog item and it is still showing up in the recently viewed.

For your scenario, go to sys_search_event.list and look for the search term that correlates to the item you want to remove and refresh the portal and check to see if it's gone.

Ultimately, go to sys_auto_flush.list then look for the sys_search_event record. Replace the default value in there (default is 15,552,000 seconds = 180 days) and set it to 1 (one second) then go to the schedule jobs and run the Table Cleaner.

Well in my scenario they have me disable to catalog item. Then they asked for a new one with a bunch of variables that were not on the original one. Latter they asked me to rename it to the same as the original so the search term would be the same.
