How to add drop down filter to Todos widget

Hi There,

I am planning to edit the OOTB 'HRM Todos Summary' widget. I am aware that custom filtered records can be added to the widget and I am also informed that the records can be ordered by priority. I am already using these features.

What I wish to implement as an extra is a drop down filter where the user can choose between the record types.

For example, if they want to see only RITM-related todos, they can select req items in the dropdown and the rest of the todos get hidden for easier readability.

Has this solution been implemented by ServiceNow or anyone in the community?

If not, could you please share tips?

There is an oob way to add filters -- here is some info on the docs site.

It will end up looking like this:

Thanks Alex. In the meantime I realized that we need to update our plugin. We are using an old version and that's why I didn't have access to that module.
