How to alter employee center header?

Hello,

Does anybody know how to alter the headers of the mega menu in employee center?
I want to alter the order of the profile icon of the mega menu so that it is at the extreme right end.
I have tried swapping the html code in the employee center header widget but it is not working.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,

Unfortunately there's no out-of-the-box configuration for this. If you want to achieve this, you indeed need to edit the Header widget. Though be aware: by editing the header widget, you own it, and you will miss out on future updates.

Remember that ServiceNow will continually update various components of the product. Although your "custom" header will not receive updates, the OOTB stuff will be upgraded. So technically, you can set up your custom portal and leave the OOTB portal untouched, which will receive the updates from ServiceNow. That way you have a place to refer to the "upgraded" stuff from ServiceNow while keeping the OOTB and custom stuff separate. Cheers!
