How to change background colour in ESC portal

Hi, in Employee service portal, how to update the background color. Can some one help. The first image in highlighted places it is in Grey. But in second image is it white. I want to have it grey. Both instance theme is same

I am assuming that you are using the ESC portal OOTB. And that portal are using the "EC Theme" theme (if not, you can open the responding one). 

At the CSS variables, please modify the attribute "$background-secondary: #f6f6f8" with the expected value, for example "$background-secondary: #ffffff"
