Is it possible to add more sorting options in the topic content widget?

My organisation would like to be able to sort in different ways through the articles and request. For example to be able to sort newest to oldest created/updated. 

However I see that I only have to option "Popular" and "A-Z". How could I add more sorting options? I can't seem to find any way of doing this.

Did you acheived the requirement, I have same requirement to accomplish. Please let me know if  you havedoneany steps

Sadly no. I dropped it, because i was not able to do it without any help. I did create a suggestion for ServiceNow to implement it and that has been put on the backlog.
