Mega Menu in the Employee Center

Hello All,
Earlier when I created the topics in the mega menu, they were placed on the top of the main page but now I see we have "Navigation style" field (Advanced Portal Navigation) which asks for Top and side view. With side selection the mega menu comes on the left side of the page and with Top - it is coming on the top right corner. Both the views are not giving me 2 level hierarchy and makes the ec landing page looks blank.
I need help if it is possible to get the mega menu placed on the top as before and how to do it through APN.

Try removing your custom CSS and check if the menu displays correctly.

I am working in the servicenow pdi and dint change any settings. It happened on its own when I sync the menu thrugh APN.
