Hello,
- You can create a VTB by navigating to Self-Service > Visual Task Boards and clicking the New button. You can choose to create a freeform board or a data driven board, depending on your needs.
- A freeform board allows you to create lanes and cards manually, without any relation to existing data. A data driven board automatically creates lanes and cards based on a table and a field that you spec....
- For this example, let’s assume you want to create a data driven board for incidents. You can enter a name for your board, such as “Incident Board”, and select the table and field that you want to use, such as “Incident” and “State”. You can also add filters to limit the records that appear on your board, such as “Assignment group is IT Support”. Click Submit to create your board.
- Your board will have lanes that correspond to the values of the field that you selected, such as “New”, “In Progress”, “On Hold”, and so on. You can rename any lane by clicking the pencil icon next to the lane name and entering a new name. For example, you can rename the “New” lane as “In Progress” and the “In Progress” lane as “On Hold”. Click Save to apply your changes.
- Your board will also have cards that correspond to the records that match your filters, such as incidents assigned to IT Support. You can drag and drop cards between lanes to update their values. For example, you can drag an incident from the “In Progress” lane to the “On Hold” lane to change its state. You can also edit or view the details of any card by clicking on it.
Hope this helps.
Kind Regards,
Swarnadeep Nandy

Hi @SwarnadeepNandy
I setup a Visual Task Board in Service Now and I can add an assignee to the ticket directly from the card in the VTB but I’m not able to assign an assignment group. Are we able to add that as an option?
