When we select Sub-Categories, it didn't get highlighted.

We needed to show to our end-users that when they click on a sub-category, it should be highlighted and selected. They will know that it is the sub-category they clicked and chose. It is unlikely to happen right now. However, when we hover over sub-categories, they are highlighted with a small blue color line. When we clicked the subcategories, they did not appear as selected. I'd appreciate it if anyone could assist with this issue. We attached the hover images

I believe this is not from any OOB widgets.

Please check the HTML and CSS part of Widget. You need make required changes to highlight selected category span in your widget.
