Monday
Hello Team,
I have a requirement from the clients that they need to use Few languages in servicenow , such as french , chinese and hindi.
The problem is 2 of them are present ootb.
but Hindi is not available.
I created a choice in sys_language list and hindi is now available, but there needs to be done a lot of manual work for the custom translations, any suggestions how can I do for everything using dynamic translation ?
Also, example if I use Azure translator, how much will it cost and all ?
Thank you!

Hi @Ashutosh4
The hard part is that Hindi is not a language pack provided by ServiceNow, so all changes must be done manually—each message, email, and KB article. There is no alternative approach.
Regarding the use of Azure Translator, the cost depends on the agreement with the vendor. In one of our client implementations, the pricing was entirely agreement-based and could also be calculated per word. Because of this, it’s difficult to provide even a ballpark estimate. I recommend contacting the vendor directly for an accurate quote, but yes, it can be costly.
I would also suggest using the Localization Workspace, where you can view and track all related localization costs.

For hindi, can we not utilize Dynamic translation for the message and stuff?
Cause it would be way too much for manual efforts

Hi @Ashutosh4
I am not 100% sure mate , but my gut felling say we can use dynamic translation. Give it a try by setting up the language translator by using the translation provider so that dynamic translation works.
Agreed—doing it manually will be time-consuming and difficult.

it needs to be done manually.
the efforts depend on what all is to be translated such as Native forms, portal, workspace, notifications etc
