When submitting a TRM (Technology Reference Model) Product Request we have implemented a workflow that goes to the Enterprise Architecture Team for review and approval. We are looking to implement a federated model, meaning Enterprise Architecture takes a first pass at review and approval but then pulls in domain-specific SMEs or Owners to further vet and review/approve the TRM request for a specific technology product. For example, if a request comes in for a new internet browser, EA knows who to pull in for review to ensure that new internet browser request aligns with the firms' strategy for internet browser use. My question is - where in the CSDM or how do we reference/document those various owners so it can be easily referenced depending on the TRM request?

Hi @youngsl5
As it’s a catalog item with variables, define the precise steps required to bring in additional approved, the use a Flow Designer Flow and use Decision Builder to take the inputs and return the relevant SME approver(s) as the decision answer.
By placing the logic in Decision Builder, it makes changing things later simpler, low code and doesn’t require a developer.
I hope this helps!

Hi,
One possible way to model this required by using TRM Categories. Based on Category of the requested TRM product, approval workflow redirect to respective solution architects or domain specific SMEs for approval.
The group of SMEs can be maintained on respectived TRm Category that can be referred by workflow.
