Field Service Module - Adding digital blueprints as attachable knowledge pieces or as assets? I'm not sure how I should go about providing access to building blueprints to our service agents assigned to work orders.

 

I'd like to use the blueprints as part of work order assignments and ensure I can add them to work orders prior to assigning and dispatching technicians.

if you want to map out a building, i think you need EAM x FSM

We have FSM. My use case would be to attach a blue-print layer (based on the type of work order) to a work order prior to dispatching. As an example- If we receive a work order to repair an electrical outlet, I would like to attach the electrical layer blueprint to the work order to better support the technician I will be dispatching.

i am not sure what is the ask here.

OOTB, you can already attach a file to the WOT and this will be available to your field agents in the mobile (in online AND offline mode). You can also integrate with EAM to have this map capability.

OR, are you asking how to  automatically  assign these articles to WOT based on predefined conditions? 

No, I want to store the Blueprints in ServiceNow, so that whomever is attaching the prints when assigning them to WO's are pulling them from the same source. I found that if I try loading them as knowledge articles, you can only upload word docs, not PDF files.
