The ServiceNow instructions for Map Marker Icons, describes the following:
Single icon URL | Icon for a single data item from a map coordinate on your Map Page. Select a relative or absolute link. |
but I have no clue as to where those icon urls are kept, how to search them, how to add them, or anything else for that matter.
I've found an old post from almost a decade ago concerning the way to add new icons for Google maps within SN, but it made no sense to me.
Help please.
And the instructions are here:

Hey there,
If you go to System UI > Images, and then search for the images which start with 'marker', that is where those map maker icons & related URLs are stored (see screenshot below). This is also where you could upload your own marker icons to use.

Thank you for answering this. I've since learned that map pins and markers are freely available from several websites and can be recolored easily. I've been able to add new Map markers and learned that the default path for the URL is to the system UI images, so all one needs is the image name (e.g., Blue_PIN_110eec.png). Just wish that the instructions for all these features had a another layer to them.
