UI Builder -Resolve button in List Controller

I haver created a Resolve button in a list in UI Builder. When I click on the button, I am displaying a modal for the resolution code and resolution notes. I have updated client state parameters with the event payload for these values to be passed on to the Update Record data source. For some reason, these values are not getting passed and as a result the state is not changing to Resolved.

Does anybody know what could be wrong here?
