My understanding is that they are working to split out the Technical and Business Services, so that you can create separate portfolios, and offerings for Technical Services. Therefor they have to split the cmdb_ci_service table from previous versions, to accommodate the CSDM Framework.

In this "Service" table´s hierarchy prior CSDM 4.0, Business Services had not a specific child-table, being their itens created directly on the top level.
CSDM 4 just now is allocating them in an equivalent sub-level, therefore none is supposed to be created on the top level anymore.
It is better organized now, and more in alignment, conceptually..

Thanks Rae Ann - can I ask when the CSDM docs will be updated to reflect this as CSDM 4.0 V2 Draft shows the change above for Technical Services but for Business Services it still shows they should be in the cmdb_ci_service table with "Service Classification" = Business Service
