Hi Michael,

On an OOB Delegates table, there is a Write ACL:-

Delegate.User

The role to perform the action is approval_admin.

Remove the role from the ACL.

Also ensure that the Non-Roled users have access to Approve/Reject records on the sysapproval_approver table.

Also, add the Delegate Related List to the Self-Service View of the User form on the My Profile module.
