I would prefer to connect with change management team [change manager] and request for extension of implementation window and perform the work after it extend. Change manager has authority to take decision based on situation.

I have experience such cases in past with my client, client has dedicated change management team who authorized [ approve ] the change and extend the implementation window based on proper business reason.
