We (centralised business continuity shop) have recently added our paper-based BIAs into the BCM module. Previously we had them available in SharePoint and every 6 months, the departments would provide access to a number of SMEs to validate or update the information, they would get sign-off from the department head, and we would then review for accuracy and mark completed.

Now that we have the BIAs in SN our thoughts were to give each of the SMEs access to their BIAs, but realised that given the complexity of the BCM user interface, there is no way we can expect folks who only access the systems every 6 months to know how to use the module. As well, we are dealing with 20+ departments and with regular turnover, there is no way we could keep everyone trained up.

I would like to hear how others are doing their BIA reviews or if there are alternatives to having end-users having to directly access BCM to make changes.

Hi @BeeRow ,

Training remains the best way to provide the guidance on using the ServiceNow UI for all.

However you can create a Video on how to use the UI while doing the BIA, if they forget anything.

Also, you can create a user guide, which will have all the screenshots with instructions on how to use it.
