Data anonymization

AES
Kilo Explorer

Hi,

I'm reviewing the following but cannot follow the steps described on my dev instance/london.

https://community.servicenow.com/community?id=community_article&sys_id=0f7ce2e1dbd0dbc01dcaf3231f96192f

Specifically these steps:

  • - Get the list of tables and fields to scrambled

I have this information.

  • - Go to the "Data anonymization" application

Where is this located within SNOW?

  • - Go to the configuration table

Where is this located within SNOW?

  • - Update the configuration table with the list of data to scramble

Once I know where to go, I can do this.

Thanks!

Hi there,

this actually seems to be a ServiceNow Platform question rather than a GRC product question. It goes beyond the GDPR use case.

I suggest you head to the Platform forum to get an answer from the specialists.

Cheers,

Same here. Found the post after I was advised that we're falling foul of GDPR by having customer user names in out DEV instance but I can't find anything about anonymisation any where.

No plugins or other info.

Hi AES,

As per my knowledge I dont see any such plugin from ServiceNow. You can check with HI team if needed.

We have done a custom anonymisation and its just a kind of masking the original data with dummy data. And its done in as a after clone action. You can try the something of same type or get in touch with HI.

Best Regards,

Anurag

P.S: Mark Helpful if it did or as answered if it gave an idea.
